How to get window quotes in Denver
Start with the installed ranges, then the questions that separate a local bid from a guess.
Read the range before anyone visits
The replacement cost guide publishes Denver metro installed pricing for 2026:
- Vinyl: $575 to $950 per window
- Fiberglass: $850 to $1,450 per window
- Wood or clad-wood: $1,000 to $1,900 per window
A ten-window house typically lands between about $5,000 and $19,000. Full-house jobs are discounted. Bay, bow, arched, and custom shapes cost more. These are budgeting ranges. The replacement cost guide breaks them down, including insert versus full-frame.
Write the job down first
- Count the windows and note the problem on each one. Fogged, drafty, will not open, rotten sill.
- Take one photograph of each side of the house. Front, back, and both sides.
- Note the frame material, and whether the opening sits in a historic district or an HOA. The city pages cover Denver landmark review, window repair in Arvada for historic properties, and the HOA pattern in newer suburbs.
Ask every bidder these questions
- Insert or full-frame, per opening?
- What is the U-factor on the NFRC label?
- How does the supplier build glass units for 5,280 feet? The installation guide explains the capillary breather tube and the altitude-adjusted gas fill.
- Labour warranty length, separate from the glass warranty?
- Who pulls the permit, and is the fee included?
The installation guide lists five lines that move the total: permit, exterior patch and paint, interior trim, labour warranty, and haul-away. Read those lines, not only the bottom number.
The spread is the reason to collect more than one bid
The spread between the highest and lowest bid on identical Denver window jobs is routinely 40 percent. That spread is worth more than a discount offered to close on the first visit.
Verify the company yourself
The about page has a ten-minute checklist: licence number with the local building department, a certificate of insurance sent from the insurer, Colorado Secretary of State registration, reviews with the dates showing, and the scope in writing before a deposit.
Use the directory as research
The company directory lists 24 Denver-area firms with public Google scores from the LPR Audit table as of 22 August 2026, plus BBB notes where we had them. A listing is not an endorsement. Filter by city, then contact the companies you choose.
